DAO

A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organisation) is a complex form of a Dapp. It is not a single application, but more a type of a programmed network organization. It is characterized by the use of Blockchain technology and its autonomous actions defined by smart contracts and its participants [1]. With the original DAO protocol implemented on the Ethereum Blockchain, it was possible to invest in other cryptocurrencies. The company's investments were made on basis of votes by token owners (shareholders) and the token owners received a share of the profits decentrally managed and coordinated [2]. Potentially, a DAO structure allows an organization without human management.
